- Largest military fortification in the Americas. Used to protect the city from land attacks and El Morro's partner in defending San Juan. Its oldest section was built in 1634, and last redesigned in 1783. On 20 acres, reaching a height of 150 feet. A US National Park since 1949 and a World Heritage Site since 1983. Great tour and great view of the cruise ships in the bay.
