Discovered in the beginning of the 20th century, this is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Caribbean. It consists of 10 ceremonial bateyes (ball fields) of varying sizes dating back to 1200 AD. It has a small museum and petroglyphs that were carved by the Taíno Indians. More than 80 species of trees and 30 species of birds are found here.
Just north of Utuado, this is a great recreational and dining area. There are boats that will take you around the lake to one of the many restaurants for lakeside dining. The restaurants are open on the weekends.
